Hey Delights!

I have returned from San Francisco and I am exhausted but there is no rest for the weary, right? My grand wee one has arrived and will be with us for the next 5 weeks, so I will be deep in it 😢 LOL.

I will share more about my time with Stitch Fix in another post but I wanted to share the look I wore for the live unboxing event with you. It was so much fun...but more on that to come.

I felt like a delicious chocolate candy bar in this dress!

It's so crazy comfortable and the mesh sleeves were perfect for the weather. This is actually my second time wearing it since I purchased it but I know that it will be in high rotation.

Stripes are definitely one of my faves so the fact that I instantly loved this romper was pretty much a given. I have been rushing around like a mad woman the last couple of days because I am off to San Francisco for a fun event and had to get so much done but I wanted to share this beauty before it sold out.

I will of course be sharing on social media, so you can check it all out on my instagram, snapchat and twitter.

Hey Delights!

I am completely committed to keeping my style easy this summer, so when I saw this embroidered cold shoulder peasant dress I instantly feel in love with it's relaxed vibe.  And of course I am always #TeamColdShoulder and the embroidery on the sleeve, which is amazing, sealed the deal.

I am working to not complain about the weather although I think my face kinda gives me away in this pic. It was pretty warm and a girl was HOT! 😓

I am definitely maxing out my Gwynnie Bee closet lately. There are just so many fabulous pieces available. I get excited every time I get a shipping confirmation email. And since delivery is always quick, I always have something new to rock which makes getting dressed sooo easy. And that is exactly how I like it to be.💃

The palm print on this London Times beauty is just so colorful and fun. I love the fact that it has that pretty gold zipper up the front. I hate struggling with back zippers and it is a great detail.

{What I Wore} Crisp Blue + White Stripes

Hey Fab! As per our disclosure policy, we use affiliate links that may result in compensation if you click links & make purchases.

Hey Delights!

As with the retro floral jumper, I purchased this blue and white striped gathered waist dress when the Victoria Beckham x Target collection dropped and I am glad that I did because it was pretty popular in both plus and straight sizes. I purchased it in a 2 x and it appears to currently be available in certain stores in certain sizes still.  And I finally took her for a little showcasing on the streets yesterday and love it.
Denim Ballet Flats (comes in 3 colors) |  Wide Brim Visor (comes in 21 colors)

I added a ribbon that I had on hand as a belt because I liked they way it ties in with the straps on my shoes but I will be wearing this dress without a belt and I also visualize it as a jacket over say a simple white dress.

I love being able to express so many different sides of my personality with fashion. And I especially love the fun that you can have with fashion in the Summer. So when I saw this Floral Romper with the Mesh Skirt on Instagram, I knew I had to have it. I originally saw it in black but snagged the white because it is just summer vibe perfect, light & easy.

We went to the Vegan Food & Drink Festival on Saturday and had an amazing time! I pulled out this easy, breezy, lightweight open shoulder ruffle maxi dress from Boohoo. It was 90 degrees and super sunny, so this fabulous wide brim visor, which comes in 21 colors was a godsend.

I have always in my heart of hearts considered myself a 60's hippie, so this retro floral romper appealed to me instantly. I purchased this back in April the day the Victoria Beckham for Target collection dropped, so of course I paid full price, and I am a little peeved that it along with other pieces of the collection are majorly marked down and it is currently on clearance for $9.

Yep. Nine. Dollars.

{What I Wore} Rainbow Pastel Perfection

Hey Delights!

When this dress first arrived from my Gwynnie Bee closet I was taken aback for 2.5 seconds at how bright it was because the photos of it didn't do it's bright hues justice. It is literally a pastel party in a dress.  Someone said to me that seeing me in it instantly made him feel happier and I had to agree. This Gabby Skye dress is such a bright, easy wearing, happy piece.

The brand although not new, is new to me and this is the first but definitely not the last piece of theirs that I will wear. You can find lots of gorgeous dresses here and Lane Bryant also sells certain styles.

{Fashion} Gingham + Denim = All Love

Hey Fab! As per our disclosure policy, we use affiliate links that may result in compensation if you click links & make purchases.

Hey Delights!

Gingham is EVERYWHERE this year and I for one am totally here for it. The traditional print is getting lots of love in creative fashion ways, especially in plus size.  And denim is of course a life staple and it too is getting lots of love this season in the most fun ways. I am especially loving it in lighter colors with cute variations like rips, patches and even found some crochet and of course in shorts. So I put together a bunch of gingham and denim pieces that I am loving below that I think would be great additions to your summer fun wardrobe.

I purchased this swimsuit weeks ago and it is by far the best swimsuit I have ever owned because the top has a built in bra that I was able to get in my actual bra size, 44DDD and the fit and support is AMAZING.

I am excited that Summer is almost here so I can rock it outside of my house 😊. I almost went to the beach yesterday after a morning of bike riding but a long soak and relaxing on the couch won out. But soon...SOON! I purchased these cute denim ballet flats a week ago and I love them. {They also come in black and a taupe-y neutral} I LIVE in flats, so I love that I can get them in a lot of colors, textures and styles.

{Fashion} White Party Season Comes At You Fast: 20 White Party Perfect Dresses!

Hey Fab! As per our disclosure policy, we use affiliate links that may result in compensation if you click links & make purchases.

The past few summers around mid to late June I have found myself on the hunt for a fabulous white outfit for some kind of a white white themed party/event.

And most times I found myself really disappointed because by then the stores have kinda started switching over their sales season & are not really selling a whole bunch of white anymore. And if they are, it's usually the stuff that you don't really want, like picked over damaged mess and just NO.

One year when I was going to New York City for Full Figured Fashion Week & needed a look for their white boat party I ended up running all over town searching after dealing with a disaster of a seamstress. Thankfully I lucked up on a white dress from Loft in a non-plus size that fit me.  Another reminder to always try things on ladies!

Last summer I ended up wearing off white to a white party. The crochet shorts were super cute but they were not that pure, crisp, summer white that I wanted.
So this year I made a promise to myself not to wait until the heart of the summer to start looking for my white pieces. So, I am on the hunt now & here are 20 white dresses (well 19 dresses + 1 romper) that I am loving.

Hey Delights!

Little did I know on the bright, sunny, amazing day that this picture was taken, (which was the day after my 48th birthday) that I would become insanely sick only a few hours later. And to make matters worse, I would have to get on an airplane for a quick 2 day turnaround trip to New York City. Which I am sure only added to how severe my sickness became.

{What I Wore} Annalise Keating Inspired - The Fab 40's Challenge

Hey Delights!

Today I am off to NYC for the Fohr U: The Conference, so you can follow along on my instagram, snapchat and twitter to see what I get in.

But although I am scrambling & doing my last minute packing thing, I wanted to get this post up sharing my look as the guest blogger in the Fab 40's style challenge hosted by Veronica of Cid Style File. Basically they choose a monthly theme and style it out and this month's theme is "Villain". I can not tell you how hard of a time I had coming up with someone but I ended up going with How to Get Away with Murder's Annalise Keating. Mind you, I don't watch the show but because of my twitter time line, I feel like I do and I know Annalise be on some major villain type mess.

Anyway, here is my interpretation of Annalise Keating's style, which while conservative, always has a little sexiness to it. So I went with this fitted jacket and knotted skirt.

Hello Delights!

This past weekend was as I mentioned in my Pretty Pastels post, AMAZING! We didn't have a bad winter but I am just so excited for Spring and sunshine. I think that's what I've been missing more than anything...sunshine.

But Saturday after spending all morning recording my Spring haul video (which I am still editing), we went out and grabbed a couple Divvy bikes and hit the pavement.  I love biking & it was so fun, so relaxing and just a really great day.

This outfit is basically an exact replica sans the pom pom slips ons, which are new and fab, of a look that I have worn many times (exhibit A).
Shorts:(old, similar here) | Top: Forever 21 (old, similar in a tee shirt style) | Pom Pom Faux Leather Slip Ons (comes in 3 colors) | Camera Bag: BP @ Nordstrom (sold out similar) | Visor Head Wrap: Scunci (similar) | Lip: Milani

I am definitely getting more of these visors, they are the most comfortable visors I have ever worn. They travel well because they are soft and fold up easily & I just throw it in my purse & go.

Hey Delights!

It was such an amazing weekend in Chicago and for Easter I decided to go pretty in pink & pastels. This open shoulder dress pretty much represents the type of fashion I want to live in all Spring and Summer. It's throw on and go, pretty, simple & comfortable.
I love it!

This amazing City Chic jacket is from my Gwynnie Bee closet. It will be featured along with this dress & lots of other pieces in my Spring haul video. And if you haven't tried Gwynnie Bee yet, STOP PLAYING! It's a no brainer. They have all the latest, cutest fashion and a free 30 day trial.

Happy weekend Delights!

This morning I got up early and recorded a haul video of some of the new pieces that I have gotten for my Spring and Summer fashion arsenal. But while I'm still in the editing phase I wanted to share the pieces with you because some of them may very well sell out before the video posts (they are just that fab!)

Stay tuned for the final cut of the video & in the meantime, check out my other videos on my youtube channel.

{What I Wore} Bell Sleeves & Ripped Jeans

Hey Fab! As per our disclosure policy, we use affiliate links that may result in compensation if you click links & make purchases.

Spring has finally arrived in Chicago and I was able to finally pull out that super cute stripped bell sleeved tee I purchased in January and it was definitely a hit on the streets.

I have worn these ripped jeans so much that I have had to cut some of the rips off.  So I am about to add a couple more pairs to my arsenal because I love the style, although you will not see me in the ones where the entire knee or whole thigh is out. For me that's overkill. And if you like the style but really don't want to show any flesh this patched pair or lace knee pair might be more your speed.

{What I Wore} Metallic Polka Dots

Hey Fab! As per our disclosure policy, we use affiliate links that may result in compensation if you click links & make purchases.

We celebrated my Daddy's 70th birthday this weekend and I pulled out this pretty Off The Shoulder Metallic Dot Dress from Eloquii for the occasion.

It is such a great, easy wearing dress and I was so grateful for that because there is nothing worse than trying to enjoy yourself and having to fuss with your clothes. It has elastic all along the top so it stays in place and you really don't even have to use the neck ribbon if you don't want to but I like that they add a pretty element to the dress.

I have these Fergalicious wedges in three colors, black, taupe & poppy. Only the taupe color is currently available but here is a similar shoe and although the heel is 4 1/4 inches high, thank the heavens they don't feel like it at all. I seriously want to kiss whoever invented wedge heels .
