{What I Wore} Pretty Pastels

Hey Fab! As per our disclosure policy, we use affiliate links that may result in compensation if you click links & make purchases.

Hey Delights!

It was such an amazing weekend in Chicago and for Easter I decided to go pretty in pink & pastels. This open shoulder dress pretty much represents the type of fashion I want to live in all Spring and Summer. It's throw on and go, pretty, simple & comfortable.
I love it!

This amazing City Chic jacket is from my Gwynnie Bee closet. It will be featured along with this dress & lots of other pieces in my Spring haul video. And if you haven't tried Gwynnie Bee yet, STOP PLAYING! It's a no brainer. They have all the latest, cutest fashion and a free 30 day trial.

{What I Wore} Roller Skating

Hey Delights!

My year of getting back to the things I love continues!

Yesterday we took the wee one roller skating, something that I haven't done in like 20 years & praise the Lort, I didn't fall & break anything 💃

When I was in my twenties, while a lot of single girls my age were going to ladies night at the clubs, I was going skating Thursday nights and it was always so much fun.

And aside from surviving this latest skating experience, I was reminded of how much really love roller skating, even though I have never been that great at it.

And isn't that one of the best things about loving something?  It doesn't have to be perfect to beautiful. ❤️

{What I Wore} Melissa McCarthy Seven 7 Colorblock Chambray Dress

Denim is everywhere and I am LOVIN' it! This Melissa McCarthy Seven 7 Colorblock Chambray Dress from my Gwynnie Bee closet is the definition of how I like to dress...cute, simple and easy.

I paired it with an eloquii belt that I have had forever (I love this laser cut version) and my striped espadrilles (similar style). My bracelet is a gorgeous festival find and of course I am rockin my Fitbit Surge, which is almost $100 less than what I paid for it here.

Plus Size {Fashion} Pick of The Day: Boho Chic & Summer Perfect Hemant & Nandita

Hey Fabs!

I was going thru my email this morning and saw these super cute, crazy fun Hemant & Nandita pieces created exclusively for Gwynnie Bee and INSTANTLY went to closet them ALL!

Hemant & Nandita is a design duo from India who has designs featured in traditionally not plus size stores like Anthropologie, Revolve and other higher end shops around the world, who believes that their designs:
"beautifully manifest the richness and opulence of Indian tradition balanced with contemporary styles"
And I could not agree more. The prints in this collection and their laid back style is so perfectly boho chic, vibrant and colorful.

They just feel like Summer..

{What I Wore} Fuzzy Pink Plaid

Hey Fabs!

As I mentioned in my last post featuring plaid, I am loving all the ways that it is showing up. And this pretty pink and black MM2 dress from my Gwynnie Bee closet is definitely a fun and stylish option.

{What I Wore} City Chic Cold Shoulder + Gwynnie Bee Visits Chicago

Hey Fabs!

If you follow me on social media then you know Gwynnie Bee came to Chicago for their "Inspired By You Tour" & I co-hosted a happy hour with them.  I tried on a lot of new pieces coming to the site and this dress is just one of the many fabulous frocks that you MUST closet!

City Chic Cold Shoulder Dress Chicago Gwynnie Bee Inspired By You Tour
Thank you to everyone who came out! The happy hour was so much fun! As you can see from the pictures my rugrat aka my photographer snapped, there was a great group of ladies (and a few guys) in attendance and it was nonstop sipping, nibbling, socializing & laughing.

Make sure that you check out Gwynnie Bee, in addition to fabulous clothing always dropping, they are always featuring a variety of members rocking new pieces, so you can get a feel for how they might work on your body.

{What I Wore} Working My Gwynnie Bee Closet: Trying New Things

Hey Fabs!

As I've upped my #CurvesDefined game my body is definitely starting to change, so my Gwynnie Bee closet is becoming even more of an asset for me because it doesn't really make sense for me to purchase a whole bunch of clothes right now.

And that makes the fact that my peeps at People StyleWatch made my Gwynnie Bee closet even deeper by letting me choose some new styles to share with you, even more fabulous.

Igigi Heidi Halter Dress In Fuchsia Cachemire
Here I am rocking a style of dress that is pretty much a warm weather basic for me. Relaxed, v neck & arms out, perfect for keeping cool. But what isn't a norm for me is the print. I own a couple of paisley pieces but not nearly enough, so I chose this dress to try something new.

I know I have said it before but it is truly the reason why I am a Gwynnie Bee stan. Always something new to choose. How could you not love that?!!

{What I Wore} Working My Gwynnie Bee Closet: Prints, Prints & More Prints!

Hey fabs!

If you have been following me for any amount of time, then you know my Gwynnie Bee love is the real deal. So when my peeps at People StyleWatch invited me to partner with them to share some of the current fab pieces in stock at Gwynnie Bee, doing so was a no brainer.

I selected a variety of styles in pretty patterns and fits to give you a good look at the diverse brands that are always available.  Like this Mynt 1792 Cold Shoulder Python Print Dress. I have worn it twice since it arrived. It is so gorgeous and comfortable. I first wore it with flats and then paired it with these colorblock heels that I have had forever.
And if you know anything about Mynt 1792, then you know they are all about quality and this dress is no exception. And the cold shoulder has definitely become the sexiest style to me.

And that python print? LOVE!

Next up is this Karen Kane Palm Print Tank Dress. It was perfect for a day at the park. I threw it, my strappy espadrilles & my fab white roll up visor on and BAM, easy breezy, summertime cute.

It's such a pretty blue and it had a girl feeling carefree, flirty and fun!

And next up, you will totally say yes to this Triste Patchwork Printed Ruched Dress! It is va vavoom and form fitted without being restrictive.
I love the fabulous colors of the patchwork pattern play. They are fun but subtle and the dress while totally fab on it's own, would also look awesome under a blazer for work or play.

I realized as I was writing this post that all three of these dresses are in the blue/green color family but are all still so fresh and unique, A total nod to one of the reasons why I love Gwynnie Bee so much, it truly does give you an endless wardrobe.

Stay tuned, I will be featuring another dress with a completely different vibe!

{What I Wore} Working My Gwynnie Bee Closet: Print Longline Scarf Jacket + Jeans

Hey Fabs!

Today I am featuring the City Chic Print Longline Scarf Jacket from my Gwynnie Bee closet. It is such a fun versatile piece.

Historically I have mainly added dresses or blazers to my GB closet, I am mixing it up more, so you will see more pieces like this and blazers, skirts, etc. My options are truly unlimited with all the new styles that they are constantly stocking!

{What I Wore} Working My Gwynnie Bee Closet: Embossed Floral + Fringe

Hey Fabs!

It's no secret that I am a HUGE Gwynnie Bee fan and love working the pieces into my wardrobe.  I have styled several pieces from my current GB closet and this is the first of a series of posts that will feature outfits, an interview on some of the the behind the scenes workings of the brand, including answers to questions I get from people ALL THE TIME and finally a fabulous GIVEAWAY!

This Melissa Masse Embossed Roses dress is gorgeous on it's own but I am me, so of course I wanted to add a funky edge to it and my faux leather fringe belt is the perfect piece to do that with.

And my floral block heel pumps from Shoedazzle added just the right amount of color to the mix. Peep how I rocked them last time, here.

{Fashion} Playing Dress Up With Gwynnie Bee New Arrivals

Hey Lovelies!

I have just returned from New York and while there I spent some time with my fam at Gwynnie Bee playing dress up and there are so many fabulous pieces coming for Spring and Summer!!

Here I am wearing a great peplum mesh top from Pink Clove and an anything but basic black MYNT 1792 skirt that in addition to the zipper you see, has some super sexy short horizontal zippers along the top on one side.

Gwynnie Bee Mynt 1792 Black Zip Skirt Pink Clove Peplum Floral Top

I wore the skirt like this to once again illustrate how great and multi-functional I have found the separates from Gwynnie Bee to be (see before here). So you can rock this look to work and change out (or tuck in and belt) the top and have the perfect look for going out after work.

{What I Wore} Red Haute & Ugly Christmas

My style goal for Christmas day was to keep it simple and cute. First up was this awesomely fabulous red London Pintuck Sheath Dress (similar black here) from my Gwynnie Bee closet.

{Fashion} Wardrobe Remix Featuring Gwynnie Bee #NaBloPoMo

It may be obvious from my recent posts that I am not buying many new items lately. This wasn't really something I planned but let's be real.  I own a lot of friggin clothes, and this comes home to me especially when I think about how more than 1/2 of what I own is actually kept in my storage and I rarely make it there to pull any of it out.

And besides all of that, working what I already own has definitely made my bank account feel more loved. But with the holiday months fast approaching and my weight somewhat fluctuating due to my new #CurvesGoneVegan die-Live-it, I have decided to get back into Gwynnie Bee.

You can check out all of my previous Gwynnie Bee posts here. Kudos to them that when I worked with them two years ago, there were a lot of fun pieces and they have only grown 10 fold since then.

It's just the most practical thing for me to do, since I am committed to shopping less but still like having new things to rock. And with the variety of plans that they currently offer, from 1 to 10 items out at a time, I can switch it up depending on what's going on in my world any given month.

But to start off, or rather to re-start, I purchased the 3 items at a time subscription.

And as I was perusing the current inventory, I was immediately excited and thought, "yeah, this is going to be fun" especially when I saw this AWEsome plaid coat.

I have already loaded over 50 items in my "closet" and I can't wait for my first box to arrive!

Have you tried  Gwynnie Bee

FYI- For those who care, this is NOT a sponsored post and even if it was, I only write what I think.

{Brand Spotlight} Gwynnie Bee Is Still Serving It!

I partnered with Gwynnie Bee way back when they were first really hitting the scene (my previous posts).  And it had been a while since I had actually logged into my account on their site but when I recently did, I was pleasantly, yet not really surprised.

And the fact that I have gotten over 9,000 clicks on this post from 2011 (and continue to get clicks almost daily) because women are always searching for "plus size stitchfix" tells me that what they are doing is really wanted by plus size woman. So, I am glad to see that they have really taken the plus size rental fashion ball and ran with it in such a great way and are constantly growing.

In case you are not familiar, Gwynnie Bee is a monthly subscription service for sizes 10-32 (yes up to 32!!) that allows you to rent fashion pieces that will be delivered to you, free shipping to and fro, to keep as long as you want for a monthly fee.

So basically you can have an unlimited wardrobe for the price of a piece or two.

And the great part about it is that Gwynnie Bee stocks current, on trend fab clothing from the brands we know and love and from some brands that you may not be familiar with who offer fab plus size fashion.

One of the things that I have loved about Gwynnie Bee from day one is how easy it is to use.

Basically you sign in, add the pieces you love and want to rock to your virtual closet and they get shipped to you. And when you are done with the pieces, you drop them in the return packaging and ship them back.

Other features that I find of great value about Gwynnie Bee is that it gives you the freedom to try pieces that you may not have been on the fence about or a snag a special occasion piece that you know you will only wear once or twice (like this fab skirt I rocked that they still have in stock).

And say you (like me) missed out on getting a piece that you wanted like this fab Eloquii dress, Gwynnie Bee has it in a range of sizes.

And you don't have to worry about cleaning an item before sending it back because they dry clean the pieces when they are returned and if you just can't part with something, you can purchase it for up to 50% off the retail price!

{OOTD} Sparkly Holiday Style via Gwynnie Bee

As mentioned in my last Gwynnie Bee post
they have so many fabulous new pieces in stock!

Of course there was no missing this gorgeous ASOS Curve sequin skirt
when it dropped weeks ago.  It's so fun and sparkly and just breathes holiday glam!

So, I was crazy excited when the fabs at Gwynnie Bee sent it to me.

{Featured} Rocking Gwynnie Bee New Arrivals

There are so many fabulous new pieces at Gwynnie Bee this month, so I was geeked when I got a chance to get my hands on some of them in advance!

I have been as per usual, out and about at events, concerts, shopping, etc so it was nice to have some new pieces to rock.

There is nothing like a fabulous pop of red like this ASOS Curve blazer.
I have worn it several times the past week.
It just works so well with any other color or pattern.
And as you can see, I LOVE my colors and patterns ;)

{OOTD} Batwing Hauteness via Gwynnie Bee

I was out on the town hitting up a couple of fun events with my Chicago Blogger Network
family and this eloquii batwing dress that I got from Gwynnie Bee was the perfect piece.

I wore one of my ASOS Curve skinny belts instead of the fabric belt
that comes with it, because I was going with a black/grey theme.

{OOTD} Modern Vintage Style

I attended the Vintage Apres Noir fashion event and it was one of the most awesome fashion events that I have ever attended (video and pics to come) but since the theme was vintage, I did my own little spin on it.

I had just received this ASOS Curve peplum top from Gwynnie Bee (btw there's still time to get in on the 1 free item special) (this has been upgraded to a 30 day free trial!) and I paired it with a funky shredded skirt that I have had forever.
