i had every intention of posting a video review last week of my eloquii by The Limited Jeans but i ended up sick and barely able to speak above a throat scorchin whisper for days.
so now that i sound human again, a video review of the jeans will be forthcoming.
tis the season to wish the folks in your life a happy, merry, very with greeting cards.
and since i somehow always end up rushing to do this at the last minute, i thought i would do something different this year and make the most of my favorite assistant: my iphone.
i love the idea of being able to potentially take care of this during the down times, like when i am waiting on public transit or standing in some line.
i put together a list of some of the greeting apps that i have loaded on my phone and plan to use to stay on top of getting my holiday cards out.
they do everything from sending e-cards to mailing custom cards out for you.
it truly expresses so much about how i live...in a complete state of gratitude and thankfullness for all that my life is.
i have been sick all week and while it has had me on my back more, it hasn't stopped me from getting ready to have a really nice laid back tofurky day tomorrow...
today it's a bit of work, a lil more shopping and then...
i got my jk scrumpys to keep me in a really festive mood thru all the cooking tonight.
and for once, we are also actually planning to go and check out the chicago thanksgiving parade in the morning...
but i wanted to take a moment to wish all of you, the sweet folks who swing by this, my web home, to see what i am rambling about, a most love filled Happy Thanksgiving!
the "official" black friday doesn't occur until the day after Thanksgiving but i am starting it early and everything in Closet Fete is on sale from now until sunday, 11/27.
i added a couple of new rings this morning and i will be adding many more things.
lots of free shipping and ridiculous deals to be had.

i love a good pair of jeans. the kind that hugs you in all the right places. the kind that doesn't lose it's shape or give me the droopy knee vibe.
so when the folks at eloquii offered to send me a pair of jeans to review, i was game.
they currently have two styles of jeans (along with jeggings), that come in classic and curvy fit in either a skinny or boot/trouser style.
i love skinny jeans and i am certainly curvy, so i went with those.
the package arrived yesterday. i got home way too late, so i don't have pics of me wearing them but i wanted to make sure that you, my readers got in on something fun that starts today.
more on that in a minute...back to the jeans.
i can tell you this, i love the wash.
i have always been a big fan of a nice rich, dark wash. it's just classic and great for dressing up or down and hides any "issues" if you know what i mean...
anyway, i like the taper of the curvy skinny jeans and i love the nice faux front pocket.
i love pockets which on say a dress, is fun but front pockets on jeans can add bulk on me...and that is no bueno.
oh and i kinda love that they don't have their name all splashed over the back pockets.
this is how i would rock these skinny jeans for a casual look.
i love anything faux fur, it's just fun, and this cardigan has a nice structured vibe to it.
of course i have to have some glitz and the sheen of this shell brings it but not over the top.
gorgeous wedge booties with just the right amount of gold accent
add some bling and go.
now on to the fun thangs... a Sale and a GIVEAWAY!!
the folks at eloquii are having a three day denim sale, (starting today thru thursday 11/17) where you get 25% off with promo code FABFIT25.
they are also holding a twitter giveaway.

simple right.

giveaway ends at 11:59 pm cst on 11/20.
lastly, check out this video featuring jodie arnold, eloquii's Head of Design. she gives you a little insight on the detail that they put into the making of the jeans.
Spike Earrings - so fun and feeds my current weapon jewelry obsession ;-)
necklace - love the leather, substantial brass and the spikes
bracelet - couldn't buy the necklace without this! leopard wallet - loved this so much i purchased two - one for me and one for the shop on sale here!!! (oh and I have a similar mac & jac leopard wallet going up for sale soon!)
One of the fab perks of attendance was a gift of our choice of coat from the current collection.
Right off I knew that the two that were on the top of my list were the Arizona and the Alabama jackets.
I just love the richness of both jackets with the faux fur & leather details.
It works really well on me because it cinches at the waist (my preferred style in almost everything that I purchase) and I also really dig the "shark bite" collar and the jagged hem.
of course the most important thing about today is that it is Veterans Day and while I always feel like simply saying thank you for what they have done and continue to do for our country is so insufficient, my gratitude runneth over.
I am seriously excited for this month's Chicago Fashion Connect Mixer, which takes place tomorrow, Thursday 11/10 @ 120 Ultra Lounge.
They are featuring Shavonne Dorsey, designer & 2011 Designer-In-Residence at Chicago Fashion Incubator at Macys, who just so happens to make fashion for women up to size 24.
I can not wait to see the pieces that the models will be rockin.
And as I have previously mentioned, here and here, the mixer is always fun, so having a plus size designer showing her work, is just icing on the cake.
I missed last month's mixer and I am salty about it because it looks like it was pretty cool.
{Update: here's a picture of my nails after applying "prep's cool". my nails are extra short because i have been playing my guitar but i love these...they are so fun!)
